Heden Arena is located right in the heart of Gothenburg, and it is a unique event space spanning an impressive 10 000 square metres. Heden has long been the natural meeting point for the people of Gothenburg and visitors during major events and championships, and it’ll be that meeting point once again during the FEI European Championships 2017.
Heden Arena will serve both as an inviting place to mingle, enjoy the party and a venue for equestrian competition. There’s no entrance fee and the area is open all throughout the championships, August 21-27.
Competitions at Heden Arena
Heden Arena will be the championship hub for the disciplines driving and para-equestrian dressage. Don’t miss the incredible skill, courage and talent on display when the para-equestrian athletes compete.
Heden Arena will also serve as the starting line for the driving marathon, one of the more spectacular events of the championships. The marathon will take the teams through the city of Gothenburg, racing past landmarks on their way to the finish line in Slottsskogen City Park.
The place to meet
Heden Arena is the place to go to experience the championship pulse and atmosphere. You’ll find an exhibition centre, Heden Shopping Village by EuroHorse, with everything from official souvenirs to exciting activities. The area will really come to life during the championship week and with restaurants, entertainment, performances and more, there’s something for the whole family at Heden Arena.
